Does anyone have detailed points or pictures of where the jacking points on the Speed 6 are? I recently moved and can't take advantage of my friend's car lift anymore so have to change the oil using a crappy floor jack.

Please help dudes!!

You can either use the factory jack positions (found in your owners manual) Or, there is a bump at the front of the car, just beyond the radiator

If you look under the side of the car, you will see a long flange where the sides of the car meet the floor pan. There is some plastic trim that runs along most of it. However, at the front and the back there are a couple places where the plastic skirt opens up and leaves you with a 6inch-ish gap with access to the welded flange. In the middle of that gap there will be a beefier weld that has two little dimples about 2 inches apart. Your jack goes in that slot.

Seriously though, go buy yourself a cheap 2-ton hydraulic jack. You'll thank yourself later. And for safety, don't trust crawling under a car only supported by a jack.

I've been looking at getting a nice big jack to change from summer to winter at home. Would you use the same jack points with that one, or is there a different central point for using a big jack?

The one Wannabe mentioned is really good for that. My only problem is after I lowered i couldnt get the jack underneath there anymore without driving up on a wooden board first. But its right in the center and lets you lift the whole front end at once. Don't know a better way to do it for the rear.

I just use the same points. The lifting arm doesn't hook into the slots as nicely as the stock jack, but it is more than sturdy enough.

Thanks guys, I have a 2 ton hydraulic jack and will consult what u guys told me. Oh yeah, and My Manual doesn't have anything on the jacking points--isn't that strange??

it should, under the "how to replace a flat tire" section.

Lol. I think the dealership I bought the car from ripped a section out because it's missing some pages....And that section is definitely not there.

thats awesome. the link i posted a few posts up has the entire manual, so that should be everything you need.

You can pick up a decent service jack at Sears for $25 or so. If you plan on doing any DIY stuff to your car, it is absolutely worth the money.

When I did my brakes a few weeks ago, I was able to use my jack in two spots that raised both rear wheels and both front wheels.

Here's the front jacking point. Fairly easy to find, thanks to the obvious semicircle cut from the plastic (pic stolen from another thread):

The rear is not quite as obvious. It's to the immediate left of the y split in the exhaust, and to the immediate right of the pivot point of the left lower control arm. Once you get under there and look, it's be a little easier to figure out.
