J-spec? What About A-spec?

I know there is this whole JDM craze in America. I was wondering if the converse was true in Japan. I don't see why they wouldn't. Do they try to make their cars A-spec? I mean this in an appearance sense. I'm sure they could give two sheits about our cars' or any a-spec cars' engine for that matter since all we get is watered down crap.

i'm gonna have to say no. my memory may be fading, but when i lived there the only american influence they liked was pop culture. then again, i was 10 so i didn't know s*** about s*** back then.

Actully in Sports Compact Car, or similar mag, I can't remember, they said alot of Japanese people like the American look. Its probably why we import because its something new and different that not everyone hase.

no im sure that they are all like ((in corney accent))" man i not enough moneys-wish i could afford import new sunfire!!! no way my peeps, i know the most dope- you could get a 02 focus and mold in some cavalier tails w/ and dodge neon body kit- oh that would be super TIGHT!!! Ohhhh and put mustang front bumper on- so cool!!!"(rice)

I was talking about emblems, lights, and body kits, not crappy cars made by American companies.

yeah a lot of japanese cars are made a spec in japan, like the 94-2001 integra, made to look like the pinehole front end of the integra here. thigns like that

Oh yeah, I am sure that all the Japanese Familia owners are busting open their headlights to insert some orange reflectors. :D

I just meant things like tail lights and just like the post before an j-spec integra to an a spec integra. F$%^ the engine what japanese person would ever want an FS_DE and if there is one I'll be more than happy to trade him

actually...having a car with a v8 in japan is like having a supra here...it's a pretty rare car and different from everybody else...also it means that the owner is somewhat rich to have a corvette, camaro or mustang in a place like japan...that's what a friend from japan said, having a v8 is actually special in japan...albeit not the most popular

I wonder what thier word for (rice) is??? (scratch)

I wonder if it is an american food ---- (thought)

*/ chinese accent / * --- yo that is wak! check out this car it's so _________ (fill in blank) :D

they dig the pop up headlights that some cars (i.e. older 240sx) have here, and i think minivans are still a big craze over there, i also heard lowriders were big but im not sure on that one

 (flame)

Sorry, but I gotta do this (if you did it in jest, I apologize for my rant)

You ignorant fool!! Unless I missed the transistion, this thread is talking about Japanese drivers. Are you so ignorant to think that Japanese and Chinese are the same thing?! Being half Asian, I take offense do your ignorance. Why is that Americans think that if you have dark hair and "squinty" eyes that you can read Chinese and speak Japanese. What if I went up to an "American" and said, "Hey, you're white, say something in German for me. Can you read that Russian?"

And I don't think you'd appreciate it if people made fun of you because you spoke a foreign language with an American accent.

Isn't the Familia the same as the Protege5 more or less? The Protege5 doesn't have orange reflectors.

Don't think I am laughing at you Rogue..I am laughing cuz that is sooo ****** true...Ignorance is bliss, ain't it my fellow shithead Americans?

I thought that the Familia S Wagon was more like the P5, and by the way, there is a sedan version of the sport 20. It used the Titanium Grey color 1st. Sport 20's have AWD.
