hey guys..is it hard to put up the j spec for the G2?..i know the reinforcements has to go..cani sand it down or is it waste of time...K DAWG...i know u got urs...how much was the shipping?...i kinda like it for my b day gift..since everyone wants my OEM bumper gone cos it wont fit the new look of the car..LOL...later

txmzdspdgen2,

you mean gen 2 j-spec bumpers for your gen2.5? or gen 2 j-spec bumpers for your gen2.5...arent the brackets all the same(us and philippines)? imo, get the gen 2.5 j-spec bumpers then get the gen2.5 mazdaspeed front spoiler like ohmme's (cool)

but i dont know if there is a j-spec bumper for the 96's i just know the one for the 97-98 though there might be no diffrence

there is a 95-96 bumper and 97-98 one both will fit.. from what i understand putting a 95-96 on a 97-98 is harder than the opposite cause of dealing with the former turn signal indents in the bumper... but both fit just fine from what corksport told me...i have a 95 and i'm puttign on a 97-98 becuase it looks much nicer... however from what andy was saying there is plans for new kit for the 2nd gen so i'm gonna wait till he says abit more about that

Yes, from experience, the former signal holes get in the way of the brackets when you install the 95/6 bumper on the 97/8.
Also, the fit for the 95/6 on the 97/8 ISNT perfect. The headlights and the grill OVERHANG the bumper about half an inch. At first, I did prefer the looks of the gen 2 bumper over the gen 2.5 (plus CS had a replica lip for the gen 2 and not the gen 2.5). But now, I think the 97/8 bumper is MUCH more nicer on a 97/8 Protege than the 95/6 (which looks nice on a 95/6 though....)

Here is the 95/6 on my 97. The turn signals have been filled as was the license plate indent:

grill or bumper. You can get creative with the grill if you want to
