J&S Safeguard Install?

OK I guess I will have to get the bosh sensor too. And only the interceptor will work with the stock coils????

Getting the extra sensor makes for an easier install.

Not sure if any others will work with stock coils, but I think that the Interceptor is one of the easier ones to install. Best to send an email to John (J&S) and see what he says.

We were talking already and was hoping for the vampire. It literally snaps into place. However I think it can only be used on coils that have around 1ohm. I think our "wast spark" coils are 7- 11ohms. So I will be picking up the interceptor with pod gauge and extra knock sensor. I'll tap that right between the LT10s and the coils and call it a day.

Just love the idea of being protected at the track. I am in no way a "tuner" type of person. And if I get stuck on the side of the track with red flag conditions in a 100*+ day getting heat soak or just plain bad gas at the race track I can just keep the hammer down and stay in the lead. And for around 600 bucks its great insurance to not loose a motor close to the end of a season. With 3/4 of a seasons worth of brakes, tires, race gas, diesel, food, track fees, race fees, and beer to loose out points because of a blown motor is just dumb. I am here to win at this stuff, and season after season. Until I move on to something more open wheel that is.......

Damn how long does it take to get this thing? I'm coming up at three weeks.
Took three weeks. John now has a 10mm sensor so installing is a snap! This thing looks great and went in quick with all the supplied connectors. I do have a problem with the gauge. When I turn the car on the gauge does not do the test. It only has the first led on. I tried emailing John and have not heard back. Please help to let me know if I am doing something wrong!!!

I guess no one uses these anymore...

I have one - and with a gauge too. Only thing is that I haven't tried to use the gauge yet so I can't help you at the moment. Only thing I can suggest is that you double and triple check the wiring on the J&S unit.

OK gauge and unit work great. The selftest only works once. You have to wait like ten minutes for the thing to want to do the test again. I have the unit mid range and I should have it perfect after this weekends race.
