Point blank, the MAzdaspeed concept in the NA
FAILED. Yes, many of us bought it, but I still see Black Micas sitting on lots, with Yellows, blues and titaniums. The car did not sell as they thought it would. Mazda delivered a great car, but the "superstreet" enthusiast wants power, not a complete package. Thus, Mazda delivered a car that "TRUe DRIVING" enthusiasts can enjoy, but the mass market dont want.
You all can think what you want, and believe what you read. I have learned to take what is said at an official event like SEMA. (which happens to be the largest Aftermarket convention in the world, and the car MFRs roll out thier concepts, and release info on future products.)
The Miata was in the works, when the Pro was released. Mazda was not going to waste the R&D money spent on it, by not releasing it.
You all can believe what you read, and what you think. Ill stick to what was said to me by a reliable representative of the MAzdaspeed team, at a reliable, and reputable industry event.
I refuse to argue this anymore, and am not rying to piss anyone off, just saying. Dont get your hopes up.
