Nine weeks ago, the dealer ordered a fully loaded, silver 2003 P5 for us. That vehicle is still sitting off the west coast of the US on a ship waiting for dockage.
Then they tried to divert a like configured car from the east coast POE to this dealer, but before they could make it happen, the car got loaded on a train for a different distribution center.
Two weeks ago, we called the dealer and asked to have them add a cassette deck to the car when it came in. Oddly enough, this gave us a car that was an exact duplicate of one that has been sitting at the Livonia, MI Mazda dealer since the end of August. My dealer just called and said that car is on his lot now and is being prepped for delivery. Since I am paying cash for the car, I get a $500 rebate that I didn't know was available. Will probablly take delivery on Saturday.
