Its appropriate the MSP comes in Orange

true. it's not necessarily a matter of being able to control your own car in normal snow driving, it's being able to control your car in an emergency b/c somoene ELSE doesn't know how to control theirs. in that case, snow tires are invaluable. and you don't have to get steelies. get a decent set of 15 or 16" alloys then. i think it's more that no one wants to spend $$ on expensive wheels they are only going to use 1/3 of the year and which will be dirty and salty and nasty the whole time anyway.

Yeah, I know, I'm really just trying to rationalize keeping on my 17"s because I hate the idea of putting those hideous steel rims on my beautiful new car. If I can get a good deal on some 16"s, I'll probably go for that option.

Sleeper, what's the tape? Is this another brand name for 3M's paint protector (like Stonguard) for the hood and dam? If so, what's the cost, and where do you get it? Stonguard isn't available in Canada, and is very expensive ($400 USD for full kit)

i haven't seriously inquired about it, but all it is is a clear tape that is put on the hood and headlights, etc

the nissan dealer i was going to get a spec-v through was going to give me dealer cost on any accessories or parts i wanted to get, but they were charging me MSRP on the vehicle. They said the rockguard or stoneguard or whatever would be $300.

BTW, guys since we're paying MSRP on the vehicle, try to get the dealer to give you THEIR cost on anything extra that you want/need for the car. It isn't all that much for us to ask for considering most dealers don't make all that much off parts, etc.
