It was a modding weekend!!

I'm surprised how well the black compliments the VR. I think personally tinting the car would really tie it all together, as well as shading the side and rear markers. Or you could get the LED markers for a subtle change, and they look amazing at night.

As for the OP, the car looks good, except for the dash kit IMO. It either needs to be painted to match, or you need to repaint your whole center stack to match. It's a shame they don't make a specific color for the MS6.

thanks. i was a little upset when i found out the dashkit didnt come in the matching color. i was thinking about painting it, but i dont know where i would get anything to match the stock interior. and about tinting, my car is tinted 35% all around. tried to stay conservitive to keep the popo off my case lol.

My Speed6 is the same color as yours and I also have he blacked out emblems...Love the look they give the car.
Im going to give the front/rear bumper markers a coat of nite shades to better accent the black emblems...

after i ordered the emblems i went on here to see how they would look. i checked out your car. looks nice man.

the nite shades will really pull the look together. let me know how it turns out.

I would consider painting the whole center console red or even Ti Gray or something like that. Make everything blend and it will look more like factory.

The red calipers look good too. Did you use G2 or Dupli-color for the caliper paint?

ill have to look into that. maybe ill ask someone to photoshop it for me so i can see what it would look like first.

i used por 15 caliper paint. stuff is amazing for rust prevention. im going to get a black to go around the middle of the rotors to prevent rust and to give it a clean finish

I used the G2 stuff on my Protege brakes, and it held up really well for 4 1/2 years with crappy Michigan winters. I think I might do mine in black when I decide to change the rotors.

Nice ride man! I'm digging the wheels. Props on the DP install...I heard it was a big PITA...

hey hate to revive an old thread but wanted to ask about the cpe 3" dp and how it matches up with the magnaflow exhaust. I currently have the magnaflow cat back w/ test pipe on my speed 6 and want to put a DP on for my next mod. I tried contacting cpe but they wouldnt confirm or deny that their DP would fit with my exhaust. Did you have to do anything special to get it to work. What gasket did you use for the magnaflow setup?

Since he ( post before me ) revived the thread... can we get a up date on what you did about the dash kit? Did you paint it or just left it alone?

The shark fin is a super easy install. Just unscrew the old one, connect the curly wire to the base with the provided screw, clean the surcafe really well, take your time and line it up with masking tape... and stick it!

Babz, how do you like the stage 2 shifter? I think I really want this one, but I'm a bit reluctant to move on it...

OJ, that TWM Stage 2 is one of my favorite things I've done to the MS6. With the bushings it really makes the car feel different, but in a good way. Shifting is effortless, the throw is crisp and quick, and sits very well. Don't hesitate, it's worth every penny.

Thanks steve... so it really does make shifting easier? I'm a little worried about my GF, who I'm just teaching to drive stick. She's doing good so far, but if it's too "racy" and feels like a hard shift, it may not go well. As we all know, this isn't a very forgiving car to learn on, but I figure if she can learn to drive this, she'll be able to drive anything.

I also have the Stage 2, and tunersteve is right in everything he said. My fiance loves driving the car, she has no problem shifting. If anything, the TWM shifter makes it easier to shift with shorter, more positive throws.

I love the stage 2. This is the way the car should of came. The shifting is much stiffer which I love since the clutch is real stiff and they even each other out. Install wasnt too bad only took me 90 minutes but I was scared I was gonna damage the bushing but it all came out well.

Before the short shifter I noticed going into second the shifter would thump like it was getting hung up. After the install this is gone :)
