I have a 2024 CX-5 Carbon Turbo with a little over 2,000 miles. Today an issue popped up with the passenger seat electronic controls.
The horizontal lever feels loose and won't move the seat backward or forward (only up and down). I'm assuming this is a warranty issue. Has this happened to anyone else?
I'm curious about what the problem could be. I had moved the seat back a little earlier in the day, but wasn't sitting in it (reached across and did it from the driver's seat) when I moved it. Later on my elderly and somewhat frail dad was in the passenger seat when it happened. He was fiddling with the controls for about five seconds trying to move the seat backward (with no luck) when I said to let me do it and then felt that it was loose and unresponsive. I asked him about putting too much pressure on the switch and he said he didn't, plus it was only for a few seconds where he was trying to move it. I doubt he pushed on it enough to break it. This is a really odd scenario for such a new car.
On a side note, I also noticed the rear driver's side outer silver window trim is a bit wobbly and not flush against the car like the other 3 windows. It's not great on the passenger side but the front trim is fine. Two things in one day has got me a bit annoyed.
