Is Trance Techno or Trance?

Then there's subgenres like house has 2 step, acid house, deep house, funky(disco) house, hard house, latin house, progressive house, tech house, tribal and quite a few more. Garage is even sometimes considered a subgenre of house; I'm not sure why.

Trance has like epic trance, hard trance, progressive trance, goa trance, tech trance, deep trance. I dunno.

I don't really know of anyone except a DJ who cares about the difference between Drum&Bass, Breakbeat, Acid Jazz, Techno, Trance - whatever. You put a record on, it goes "GNNNNN tsss GNNNNN tsss GNNNNN tsss GNNNN tsss" people jiggle around on the floor, and all's well.

t3ase nice topic! Who do listen to in trance/techno/house etc. I saw Seb Fontaine about a month ago and Paul Van Dyke a few months back. Paul Oakenfold came here not to long ago. DJ Irene spins here alot also. I think the European DJ's have best rhythm and sound. I also like George Acousta, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Sasha, ATB, darude, and etc. Anyways sorry to thread jack Topic caught my eye, since that's what I mostly listen to.
