Hi,
I am performing a head gasket replacement and just got TDC by aligning the notch on the crankshaft pulley upward. As you can see, the "I" and "E" on the camshaft pulleys are aligned horizontally. Everything looks good so far.
However, I'm not so sure about the cams. I thought that cams pointed straight up when the cylinder in question was at top dead center. Is that right? Do my cams look to be in the right place? I just want to be sure before I proceed by removing the belt, cam pulleys, and cams.
Thanks!
