Is the MSP a Subaru?

The day I bought my yellow MP3 and drove it home for the first time, I passed a friend and later they asked me if it was an EVO. I told them "I wish". People mistake my MSP for a subie all the time. I guess if you take a quick glance at the color it is very similar to the STI.

I constantly get a hand wave from subie owners too. I think it is the large fogs that confuse most people.

So far, I've not gotten many of those comments. I've heard Evo before. However, I don't recall many (if any) 4 door sport compacts coming in a bright orange. The only one in orange that strikes me at the moment is the Sentra SE-R. But it's burnt orange.

As far as the MS3 and WRX, I see it in the front and profile. The MSP and a Subie... nope.

Then again, some people are just automotively ignorant when it comes to appearance. I've been pointing out Mazda5's on the road for last 3 weeks (as my wife will soon be getting one and she claims she never sees them out and about). Even when I point one out a 1/4 ahead coming in the opposite direction she still says "You sure? I can't even tell."

Edit: Someone should photoshop (I don't have PS or else I would) the Subie emblems onto a Lazer 03.5 and get on some forums and start claiming it was a limited production Subie that was released in certain markets. It would absolultely slay me if it made it to the Subie forums and even they were convinced... :D

I get mistaken for a subi all the time, which I'm cool with because that's one of my favorite cars, but I was driving up to a mazda meet and they thought I was one...I thought that was really funny

what might throw off more people is im a subie look alike with EVO wheels

I've gotten that my car looks like a Subaru plenty of times. I finally asked why they though it looked like a Subaru, and they said it has the same stance and the spoiler on the 03 looks kinda the same. I was ok! Thanks for clearing that up for me! I don't see it but ok!

i was driving through a cruise about two years ago. there is mainly old muscle cars out but i like to make the loop atleast once. anyways, i was passing a group of some good ol' drunk 'murican boys and one of them stands up and yells "NICE EVO FAGGOT!". i couldnt help but laugh lol

I remember when i got my corbeau seats. The ups lady said "Do u know there are kids dying in Haiti and ur buying racing seats. Haha jk. Oh, Nice Subaru!"

Now i felt bad about the the first part. But the Subaru art was completely uncalled for. That b****. lol.

the ass of a 2004ish camry from a distance look like a 3rd gen protege's back and the fd's front look like a corvette and fd's back look like those old taurus :D

After I got bronze wheels, I got it so often that I stopped correcting people.

What's even funnier, is that when I had my Subaru (A silver, obscenely slow, bug-eyed 2.5 RS), people used to ask me if it was a Neon or a Volkswagen...

I used to get the WRX mix-up sometimes. Never quite understood why, considering there's no color of WRX that's close to titanium.

I even get mix-ups with my G. Had some guy ask me if it was an Acura a few weeks ago. I guess the Mt Fuji emblem kinda looks like an A?

i get it all the time and seeing that my colour scheme is blue and gold makes it no better lol

At least you guys where getting mistaken for something respectable..... I kept getting ....... and I quote ...... " Hey nice escort man!" .............. WTF.........

yeah, just wait for the laser blue guys to see this... they'll be all over it.

I've never personally had my car confused with anything, apparently all the people I know are smart enough to say "What is that" instead of pretending they know. being wingless probably helps with this issue too. lol

omg I hate this, i always get told that I have a great looking wrx. Just because my car is blue does not mean I have a wrx. I even considered getting vanity plates that said NOTAWRX to avoid any further confusion
