ok so they look the same on the outside.....now how about the inside?

MAN, THE MANIFOLDS LOOK exactly THE SAME. A bolt hole being created or destroyed is not on par with a catalytic converter.

why arent these used?

Because the sensors are unplugged and not mounted (white circle). If you connect the sensors, you will not get a CEL, and mount them on the bracket(black square).

And as i have said before, if cullen REALLY wanted to support the community, and had a spine, instead of wanting to profit from us, his loyal companions, he would spill the beans and then develop something that was really custom, like a sheet metal manifold or something.

i dont see why im being flamed.

You just crossed the line. Give me a number to reach you at.

is there a picture that you were trying to post? I dont see one. Either way cullen, you have to admit the manifolds look quite similar.

I do not have junk yard parts here.

3 months ago I was contacted by a company out of CA about this intake manifold that would show significant gains on the FS. So we have been testing this manifold on a NA and a FI car for 2 months. Both showed great gains. Dyno results are already posted on the MSP, as everyone has already seen. So I ordered a "boat" load of manifolds from the company and they are getting them casted over in Japan.

Now you guys are attacking me about a 626 manifold that looks similiar. This is new to my knowledge. So I asked the company in CA about the similarity and they said that it is modeled off of the '99 626 intake. Which makes sense, they are making them from designs already available and also makes it more cost effective.

Please stop making SU out to be the bad guy. I am trying to help the market grow for parts. These manis are being stocked here and P&P can be done also. I will more pics as soon as possible.

why not just P&P a 626 manifold then

They have flappers, holes for the flappers, and the EGR valve will not work. People have tried this and have been unsuccessful. Someone search other forums about it
.

here is my opinion.
626 manifold= s***,not ported, not polished, and no guaranteed fitment.
SU maniflod= might not be custom but who cares, ported and polished, vcts, and vics, removed.

dont forget...dyno proven!

Cullen is it possible that you got had by your supplier?

No, they already told me that they used other mazda designs, which I already said.

The fact is it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have ZERO issues.

I am waiting for a number to reach you at, you crossed the line.

The stock early ones did not have the VICS and VTCS. And from what I've read, the P&P is extra.

I dunno if anyone actually dynoed the VTCS removal on the stock intake (99-2003), but I'll bet the gains are similar.

I want a number to reach you at. You want answers, you can face the music. PM me a number. Or call me, the numbers are all over the place. You haven't called yet.

I have a customized tornado fuel saver for sale. I will post pics up later and the dyno sheets. It makes an extra 20HP. It is custom cast in Japan. It will only cost you $650.

I really don't understand the hate on aszin. If people didn't ask questions then people would be getting scammed left and right on b.s. products like those resistors. He simply began by asking a simple question and was getting the run around. You all should be thankful that you guys have someone watching out for you. How do you guys not know that cullen wasn't scammed and misinformed when he purchased the products from a supplier in CA. The point is just be honest, if it's a modified intake say that but don't beat around the bush. I almost thought these threads were going to be another G.I. thread. I'm done with my rambling.

the line where you accuse him of taking advantage of Protege owners for selling the product @ that price..... are you not seeing any of this? Man up.....call him.....
