Is our MP3 still under warranty?

I just wondering if our MP3 still under warranty? (no exteneded)

My MP3 is bought from the original owner on October 2001 and it's now 67200KM on it. I asked the servcie dept in a dealership to replace the rear busing, he said it's no longer under warranty.

Isn't it 4 years or 80000km?

i believe warrantys are from the time the car leaves the dealership, and 4 yrs or 80'000 kms which ever comes first, you might wanna check the date of purchace from the dealership, cause it could be close.

I know the guy bought the car in winter 2001, MP3s are out in winter on 2001 in Canada.
so I should still have few months left on warranty. WTF the guy say my car is not under warranty???!

im afraid you wont find out unless you get the history and find out the exact date, cause it sounds like your the second owner, eh.

actually that whole 4 yrs 50,000 miles ONLY applies to cars 02 and up. MP3s didn't get that warrenty. if you call the Mazda 1800# and give the guy the VIN he could tell exactly when the warrenty expires. i did it on the speed i just got. luckily for me the previous owner took out the extended warranty! Im covered till 100,000 miles or 2010!!!!!!!!!

My MP3 was purchased on 7/22/01 and came with a 3 years/36,000 mile warranty. Same for other 2001 Mazda vehicles.

I got until 2006 or 75k miles. At this moment I have 36k miles so I should be set for awhile. And I think I will buy another exteneded when thats up.

I use to work for a mazda dealership and up til 2002 the warranty was 3yr 50,000 miles. That changed in 2003 when they changed it to 4yr 50,000 miles. Which means your mp3 had a 3yr 50,000 mile warranty. Even if your under mileage your out of warranty time for your 2001.

haha on my mp3 mazda honoered a 3 year/50k mile warranty, looks like they shouldnt have. serves them right for not fixing my speed thats still under warranty.

if you guys notice....SKY is from montreal Canada....and my car is an 02 p-5 ...and for us canucks im am pretty sure it was 4 yrs or 80000 KILOMETERS.....for all you crazzzy (silly) americans that would be 50000 MILES.........BUT YA for 01 you guys are probably right cause for all i know 01 could have been 6 mths )

Now, my stock Kenwood radio starting have problems again after changed one 1.5 yrs ago at Mazda under warranty.....

They sell us the MP3, but the MP3 head unit suck @ss!
