Is 300 Hp Possible With Msp ???

i'm just kinda wondering is it possible to get 300 hp from our msp ?

i was talkin' to this kid with an EVO8, who said he likes the speed, but it doesn't have enough power. i agreed with him, but i also told him the car wasn't made to be a dragstrip terror.

i know the limitations of the car, but is 280- 300 hp possible??

sure.

add forged internals, new turbo, 255lph fuel pump/440cc injectors and some engine management and you'll be on your way.

Sure 300hp is achievable with the FS you will need to go through the propper steps to make 300hp not instantly kill the engine though.

t28 BB at 1bar
and a MAF that can flow more air

-That should get you in the ball park

FYI- any engine with enough money thrown at it can make good numbers. I just think it can be done much cheaper on another platform.

Is it possible...yes...is it FEASABLE without blowing a rod? Probably not...our cars were not meant to house that much power. Also, half of any good car is always the driver. Screw the speed when you have some teenager behind the wheel that takes the car into a tree or grinds 1st or 2nd gear off the line. Just my 2 cents...

440cc will see very close to 95-100% duty cycle at 300+hp

550cc will do fine though

it's funny to me that when i talk to people about my msp, i have to explain to them that i got it because it's just a great all around car!!
when i made my purchase, all out hp was not on my agenda.
good handling, good power, and not seeing your car every 5 mins. driving down the road was.

i don't think the aftermarket will catch up. there just weren't enough MSPs made to justify tooling cost.

not to stray from the aforementioned number goal, but what is the msp's limit with out having to crack the engine open. So what would be achievalble with fuel management/delivery, the right exhaust sizing, boost pressure etc. etc.?

I would say around 230 hp is possible but that may be pushing the rods limits. I am taking into consideration proper tuning, fmic, intake, turbo-back exhaust, upped boost.

UMMMMM this isnt a serious post is it? F-CON..... Dude we dont live in Japan. First off you have to get F-Con tuned at an F-Con dealer which ummm yeah there arent any of. To tune F-Con you have to pay HKS to use their program. 300 HP, come on bigger turbo, pistons, rods, exhaust, and injectors, fuel pump, and fuel control. Oh yeah and about 2 trannies to replace your blown one. A Crank? Why do you need that? A T28 is still pretty small and 300 hp is about maxing that turbo out on an SR so I dont think that might be possible without some work. HKS GT2835R is about as big as you can get before having to go to an external wastegate.


Remember these have turbo kits bolted on to stock motors. If you want to go insane it would be a good idea to build the motors.
