iPod to P5 stock HU through AUX connector

Has anyone created an AUX or RCA in to the stock 2002/3/4 P5 head unit? There's a connector in the unit that I think is used to connect either the minidisc or cassette factory options. This should also be able to receive a signal from some kind of adapter so that the HU controls can drive the iPod.

I know of the ICE link option, as well as the Syflex adatper, but I'd like to hear from anyone who's actually done it.

You can get sound into the factory unit but getting the factory unit to change tracks on the iPod is another story. I don't know of anything that will do that.

I received the Syflex unit and hope to install it this week. I'll post a report when I hook it up.
