iPod Mini, Dension ICELink, P.I.E. questions

I just got a 4GB iPod Mini as a birthday gift and I'm just dying to get it hooked up to the stock HU of my 2002 Protege. I don't wanna use iTrip (Apple's FM transmitter) or an FM modulator, and I don't have a tape deck, but even if I did I'd like to get better quality than feed the iPod through a tape.

I've done my research and discovered that the best option for me would be to get the Dension ICELink and connect it to the HU via the P.I.E. Mazda/PC-Alpine CD Changer Interface. As far as I understand, this would allow me to skip/ff/rew tracks on the iPod via the HU controls and the iPod would turn on/off appropriately (when car is shut off, when switching to another input, etc.).

I just have a few questions before I go ahead with this install:
1. Is the Dension ICELink iPod cradle adjustable and will it hold the iPod Mini?
2. Is all I need the Dension ICELink and P.I.E.?
3. Is there any groundloop noise in the signal, like engine rev humming and such, with this installation method?
4. Any ideas if there will be any other option in the near future for a clean, line out connection of iPod to stock HU that might be worth waiting for?

thanks rktktpaul, I've been following that thread, but I just wanted specific info about the iPod Mini, and particularly if the Dension cradle would fit the iPod Mini. I also need a response to my engine hum question.

Itrip is made by Griffin not Apple, for anyone looking it up.

I got the unit from www.mp3yourcar.com I called and I guess they just came out with it. They asked me if I could make a web page about the install but I do not have a camera. So if you want to get one and can take pics of the install I am sure they will give you a really good deal.

I purchased the same product; installed the hardware, but can not get the stereo to recognize that there is something in the aux-in slot. Do I need to key in a code?
