iPhone on Mazda 5 2007

I wonder if anyone could help me. I have a UK spec 5 with an audio system that has a 6 CD player and plays MP3's but does not display track text etc. I have just bought the GTA car kit and after waiting weeks for it to arrive, then dismantling the front of the car, found it didn't work. The guys at GTA have been very responsive to my emails and are going to send out their kit that is normally used in later models. They are unsure whether this will work either.

I can't believe the audio doesn't even have an aux connection (even in the back) and I am told in the UK that there is no kit available to make the iPhone work. For a 2007 car, I find this remarkable.

I have tried to go to Mazda direct but this is impossible. It seems this model of audio system is not used in the USA??

The '07 (and '06) Mazda5 in the United States did not have auxiliary input. That started in the '08 model.

Consider an aftermarket radio (head unit).

I have a 2007 and bought one of these from GROM Audio along with the Bluetooth dongle - http://gromaudio.com/store/aux_adapters/mazda_02-08_aux-in_mp3_bluetooth_ipod_iphone_adapter.html
I have an iPhone and now have bluetooth music streaming as well as bluetooth hands free call capability. Looks like they'll ship to the UK... may want to give them a call to find out how much it'll be.

wishmaster, does the unit work good? what about connecting my sirius radio to it? that available too?

The unit does work well... have no idea about connecting Sirius to it. Best to check through the site and/or give them a call.
