Intro

how's it going?
I recently registered here and thought I should do an intro.
My name is Warren and I'm the parts manager at North Hill Mazda.

I've been in automotive for about 20 years now (man that just made me feel f'ing old for "only" being 35) and I've been back in the OEM for about 5 months now here at North Hill.

I've been involved in drag racing and land speed racing for a long ass time but I'm just getting my feet wet with Mazda so I figured this is as good of a spot as any to get caught up.

I plan on running some online specials and was curious if there is a vendor charge before I go stepping on anybodies toes....we all have expenses and need to pay bills so I want to respect the site owner.

Other than that, if you get your car serviced here make sure you stop by parts and say Hi. I'll try to free up some swag for ya or at least help out on a parts discount.

Welcome warren. I think there is some process that you would have to go through to become an approved vendor on this forum. I do not know the details, maybe contact one of the administrators to see what's up with that.

Were always looking for free stuff, some more than others(eekdance), but(rules) we know its limited.(p5blue)

it's alright, I know not everybody will always be happy.
mazdaspeedp, I know who you are, you know who I am.....let's figure a way to make everybody involved happy.

I've got nothing to hide.

Andrew, I think the harness was around $150 if what the tech is telling me is accurate.
You come see me and I'll look after the part, you handle the install.

I haven't heard your side of the story and to be honest, I know the work wasn't being done through the shop, but I'll do what I can to make it right for you.

Warren,

I talked to you a while ago regarding a fog light for my msp, I had to work the day of that garage sale, so I wasn't able to make it in to pick it up, I do still need it though. Do you know if its still available?

Thanks,
Mark

Hey Mark,
Shoot me the details again and I'll track it down for you, no sweat.
The garage sale went really well and I'm planning another one come spring.

well the work was not being done through the shop but was being worked on in the shop by one of the techs that works there so basically same thing. Wasent sayin anything bad about the parts people but in general most of the other people there are assholes and basically told me to **** off after my car would not run due to the mechanic shitting the bed

so as a former employee you came here to have a repair done by a former co-worker (friend?), but not on a repair order so you did not have to pay the door rate? is that accurate?
and why would anybody tell you to **** of if the work wasn't being done through the shop? I've dealt with you a couple times and you seem like a reasonable person to me, and the people I work with are reasonable too.

all I'm offering is a good will part to help repair your car, even though I certainly have no obligation since the repair was not done by North Hill Mazda nor was the part supplied by us.
It's our own fault for giving you a break (as a former employee) and not having the car on a proper repair order, then I believe your "North Hill Mazda are a bunch of assholes" statement would hold far more water.

Yah, man maybe take that issue up with Mazdaspeedp separately, that is between you and him. It does not concern the rest of us.

I bought my P5 brand new from North Hill Mazda and i have nothing but good things to say about the sales and service staff.

Try to keep this thread clean guys, and maybe Mr NorthHill here would be more willing to help us. He's not going to want to post specials here if all he gets is a bunch of hate posts.

I've got thick skin.lol.
I know that dealerships have reputations for being unfair (regardless if it's warranted or not). I'm just doing what I can to turn that around here and help out the mazda community. it wasn't all that long ago I was on your guys side of the counter.

there were no breaks given the car was in the shop for 2 weeks and the ssafc install was supposed to take 2 hours to do. I never worked with that tech he just claimed he was able to do the job for slightly cheaper than shop rate which i know now was a huge mistake to even trust him.
