Intro and some confirmation about 2003.5

Whats up.. new to the fourms and figured I'd intro myself and give a bit of news..

First Im in Michigan and work for Ford.. have daily contact with Mazda (My group sends mazda all the US built components for the Tribute/Escape production in Hiroshima Japan). I currently drive a Cougar and am a member of Redline Motorsport check out some of the cars.. im sure most of you will appreciate the RX7.

Anyway.. enough about that and on to the news.. I was at the dealer yesterday and got to talking about 2003.5 and he told me the confirmed colors (helps I know all of Mazda purchasing North America as well as the plant manager for AAI). The colors will be titanium as well as yellow. He also said that there should be no delay in the black as they are already at AAI (AutoAlliance International home of the Mazda6 and previously the 626/Cougar). AAI is where the cars will be modded for the east coast (I believe). He also told me that you will get rubber in 2 gears (nice).. Only prob is the idiot told me he would give me 9k for the cougar when dealers are selling similar models for 15k.. I hate trade-ins!
 
Also something else I remembered. The dealer I spoke to said Mazda was very clear that they did not want their customers paying a dime over MSRP.. so if the dealer is telling you that you will have to pay above the sticker definately contact Mazda.. they would like to hear about it.. just to prove my point I am getting the S-Plan on the MPS and thats about 18.5 so they want their customers to be happy.
 
According to the Mazda website and the Mazda brochure posted on here the S-Plan is not available for the MSP. So how did ya pull that off?? That would be sweet if it were available 'cause I used it on the P5 and would definetly consider trading it in if I could get S-Plan on the MSP.
 
All I did was say that I had the S-plan and geve them my PIN.. here is the dealers response in the email he sent me.

Thats the thing that gets me sometimes.. the dealer doesnt make any less $ by giving someone the S-Plan..

However I know the rep I talked to last night was adimate the the s plan applied.
 
Sure they don't make any less....but that means that they also can't make anymore on an unsuspecting consumer. With the S-Plan all the numbers are laid out in front of you. It was funny when I got the S-PLan on the P5, the dealer made it sound like the pricing sheets they let me see were confindential.

I would also make that dealer call the S-Plan 800 number and check about getting you the S-Plan on your MSP. The dealer could just be saying he'll give it to you to get you in the door. Chances are he didn't even confirm its availability on the MSP. The thread I linked in the above post doesn't sound very reassuring seeing as how it did come from Ford.
 
True but I work for Ford and there was something that went around urging Ford employees to look at a Mazda because the S-Plan is available on all models for Ford employees.. The memo was sent after the email Jeff got too..

Hey! I knew that name was framiliar! Mike get everything back together on the Scooby? Glad to hear you guys are doin well out there.. Come on the Redline board for once!!

BTW - no mention of the MSP for me.. don't want it out till its in the driveway.
 
The AXZ PLan call center is still saying NO S-PLAN on the MSP :( . Person even referred to an official memo
 
When did you call.. regardless I had the dealer tell me they would accept S plan so I will make the give it to me :D
 
Today. Based on your contributions to this thread I called the call center (1-877-XPLAN00) to ask for a PIN and... no cigar. Don't see how they can honor an S-Plan estimate if the invoice comes without even E-Plan pricing printed.

So the MSP's are in Flat Rock, cool! Can not wait to get mine.

Ok so i'm a little confused...I called Mazda and asked the same thing about the MSP. They told me it was not excluded. I don't know about the S-Plan stuff.....I'm just considered a Ford Partner though my job so I get E-Plan(equivalent of A-Plan for Ford product) +5.3%. Likely will still be a lot cheaper than I could get it normally. I went into the dealership to enquire yesterday and they also said the MSP would be covered under the plan.
 
Ford Partner program headquarters - who you contact to get the S-Plan "pin number" claims there is no S-Plan for this car, there is not even E-Plan.

Very confusing. Who is right??
 
Don't get me wrong, I'd love for you to be right but I did that too. Mazdaspeed Protege is not an option on the pin generation screens, only Mazda Protege, I got a pin just in case. Fingers crossed.

The call center told me that there will not be E-Pricing on the invoice. I also got an e-mail response from them saying that no Ford plans apply for this vehicle.

I hope they are wrong

i have no idea wtf you are all talking about... but from what i've picked up.. you guys want a discount on the msp... and from what ive read... it seems as tho about 80-90% of the incidents where mazda or ford has been contacted have ended up with them saying there is not going to be a discount... and maybe 1 or 2 people have been told that they will... I dont wanna burst anyones bubble but... Im gonna go WWWWAAAYYYYY out on a limb here and suggest that there is no damn discount...


MI MSP... im sure if you wanted to be a prick about it you could demand that they give you the discount because some poor guy at the dealership told you they were going to honor it... but why should you be able to get the discount and no one else? even if others work for ford... i dont think thats right... but then again.. probably the only reason i dont think thats right is because your getting a mazdaspeed and your getting a discount.. and im jealous..lol :)
