Internals?

Be carefull and don't use to much Nos, i heard peole blew their engines and some one I think even ruined a trany. But I did't hear any problems from the guys with turbos yet.:D

Spoolin has boosted the highest. He went to 12psi. But that was just for a dyno run and was with race gas, so don't go and do that. But reliably everday driving can handle 8-10psi with timing retard. But without timing retard, I wouldn't go over 6-7psi.

Stock Max I would spray is 50 due to top of pistons. If they had more of a pit or a deep. (I cannot think of the term) you can go 100. But just do 50 max on stock internals.

NOS Guys does it depend how you spray. Some use wet other do mist through the intake. Help me out.

Hey big_ben did you ever solve your problem about retarding the timing on your car....is your plan to just put in regular gasoline so the ecu retards it, or did you come up with an alternate solution? I know you were looking before to trade your chip...just not sure if you did or not.

It depends on how my of a shot you want to run if you are only running a 50 shot I would suggest a dry system but anything about that you are risking it on our motors. Above that you really need to go to a single fogger wet system of a direct port system.

Yeah, I solved it buy getting a piggyback. I think I'm going to get spoolin's link. There is also a Jackson Racing one on ebay I'm looking at but I'm not sure if it will work or not. I could go without it for a while, but I'd rather get it and be able to turn up the boost when I want.

max boost

MP3 s can actually handle about 18 psi with a stand alone system, the only thing that limits our cars are the con-rods
Some camps say that they can only take 8psi and others say 12psi
With proper tuning- I believe 12-14 is attainable.
The rest of the motor is pretty stout and can handle boost fairly well....if you plan on going with just an fmu I wouldn't go more than 8psi

Just my 2 cents...:D

Boostluvin is correct. Our motors can handle some serious psi.only limiting factor we have are the damn rods.
6-8psi on an fmu
and 12 psi on a stand alone
thats my 2 cents

Of course the motor can handle the boost and yes you are limited by tuning and the con rods, but you would be hard pressed to run that kind of boost reliably on a daily basis. Reliability should be the determining factor when deciding how much boost to run. I don't doubt that you can run 12 psi daily, but you'd better be sure that there is absolutely no detonation and be sure you have alternative means of transportation :D

How much do these standalone computers cost exactly and is there a market out there for selling/buying used ones....I know that it will be pretty pricey to get one of course.

Haltech=1200+ALL sensors=1500

TEC3=1800+crank trigger and sensors=2300

LINK=plug and play 1500

AEM's have been having lots of problems and are not available for our cars yet.

This does not include the price of install and tuning

:eek: :eek: :eek:
