I dont think its overboard as long as they go off when you close the door... (I cant imagine driving with that light on.)

However, the 2 definitely needs more lighting at night... I would love to develop some for the rear seats... hmm...

Do you have any how to on how you did it?
I like it but its slightly too bright in the floor Id use less lights or difuse it a bit if I were to do it...which I may as it does look cool and the 2 doesnt have enough lighting.

I have some less in my car 2 under the dash like where yours are then 2 underneath each seat one facing front on each side and one face back on each side and you can change the colors of them. I have my turned out cycle so i fades through out the color spectrum. It’s nice and i can turn them on and off whenever i want. I’m planning on putting two ambient LEDs about like they have in the jettas

that's actually a great idea and looks great, i'd be interested like other people have said though to go ahead and wire it so that the lights come on when the doors open and shut off when they close...and for the rear as well

i was thinking about puttin these in my car too, i also have the green one... i would like to hook up the lights to the doors though, so they only come on when the doors open, and i would turn them down just a little bit, a little bright for me!

How do you go about hooking them up to the doors? It would be pretty sweet if someone posted pictures of where they attached the wires to the fuse box. I have no electrical experience, but would like to add some red lights to mine!

this seems like a fantastic idea my friends are always dropping things like ipods phones etc. and this would be nice or have a switch to turn off on. (seeing how the sport model has the empty buttons on the let by the traction control.

Im in the process of hooking some led daytime lights and some interior led lights in my cx7............Im running switches out of the empty slots in the traction control panel...had to modify the switches a bit but looks factory...will post picts in my thread later.BLKCX7...check out my ride in appearance section of cx7 forum...

thats what i was thiking about doing in the 2 using those slots since i have the sport only the TC is used.
