Not sure where to put this question, but i did not see an interior forum!

In the speed 6 there are two cup holders in the center console, well mine wont shut  i think it may just need to be cleaned may have gotten a penny stuck in it or something! I dont wanna make a trip to the dealer but i cant figure out how to remove the cup holder? If someone has done it or has pics... thanks!

had the same problem a while back. i tried removing it with no luck....i blame it on never closing it. i cleaned it and gave it a nudge and it closed. now i close more often so it doesnt get stuck..

Go to the HOW-TO for iPod installation. There's a walk thru on how to remove the center console. The part with the cup holders actually just clips in, you have to use quite a bit of force, but there are no screws holding it in.

I (well actually a passenger  ) spilled some coffee around one of my cupholders and it must have dried and stuck a spring or something in place, because the next day when I went to close the panel it would move to the closed position, but not latch. I left it for a few days, trying every once in a while, and then it just started working again. When I took the console out to install my AudioLink I cleaned it up properly.

There should be a How-To on removing the console under the AudioLink or ipod or something similar.

Edit: beaten!

since we are talking about interior. does anyone know of a good product to remove stains from cloth interior?

Thanks for the help guys....

Sorry all my cars have had leather except one, and i just used the cleaner you get from autozone! Seemed to work pretty good for me!

Pillar Pods?

Haven't been able to find a question about this but I know there is an option to get the three gauge pod in the flip up storage compartment on the dashboard. I hate how you would have to flip up that compartment and keep it up to be able to see them. Does anybody know if they make a pillar pod? I didnt know if mazda had an airbag in there or not because it is labeled as an airbag. Any info would help.

There is a 3 guage pod that goes on top of the compartment, but I think you lose use of the compartment.

I haven't seen one like that for the MS6, but keep looking. New stuff pops up all the time. I know ForceFed on here makes some pods for the MSP; maybe he could hook you up or put you on the right track...

They dont make one that goes up by the door for the speed 6 do they? Kinda like this. I havent been able to find one.

You can use a standard Mazda6 pillar pod, but since our cars have airbags there, don't think you can't get nailed by a flying boost gauge in an accident.

CP-E is coming out with a pocket pod that will still open up after installation. Stay tuned.
