Interior Door Handle

Does anyone know how to disassemble an interior door handle? How do i knock that pin out?

What do you mean what pin. Are you talking about the rod that is attached to the door handle on the back side. If so thats easy just pish the part that is attched to the rod it will slide off and pivot back then lift the handle off and done. Hope thats what your talking about if so hooe it helps ya get it off

No I'm talking about the actual door handle I want to take it apart take the chrome lever out of the casing I can't figure out how to remove the pin and the spring I want to paint it

Oh ok i see what you mean thats a good question that I dont know. What color you trying to paint it.

Im painting my full interior black and i mean everything seats and all useing Dupli-Color Vinyl/Fabric paint

Well that is one way to do it I also have the 99 1.6 and wanted black not sure what your budget is like but I just bought a mostly complete MSP interior door panels, front dash board, door sills, carpet, interior trim panels, center console, the whole nine yards, but for seats i didnt care for the MSP seats so i went with the MS3 leather seats and a P5 steering wheel. Now my interior is black and will last longer than paint or plasti dip. I originally was gonna paint everything but only reason i didnt was because the paints gonna fade or chip then id have to redo it. So maybe consider just swapping interior, hit up a junk yard for a p5 and use that interior its gonna be alot cheaper than shipping. Just my 2 cents, no matter wich way you decide to go best of luck and hope you get it how you want it. If you need any ideas or something give my build thread a look over links in my sig. Im building mine almost from the ground up rebuild

Bro i'v seriously ****** picked your thread apart lol love it its my favorite love your car love your ideas great great work thats where i'v been getting all my ideas actually i'v showed all my friends they also love it. And im painting it with this special paint that doesnt crack or chip or fade and i can paint my full interior for only $40 if i spend anymore into the car my wife will kill me and to be honest i love painting and it looks amazing man iv got one door panel and the rear dash done so far and i am very impressed with it the paint goes on so smoothly and has a nice shine and all i had to do was wash the parts in the tub with dish liquid and then sprayed them with tsp eco degreaser and rinsed them off waiting till everything was dry and just slapped one thick layer on and boom beautiful. But still i have the same question how do i get the door handle apart? lol

Well I appreciate the Kind words man it means alot some day ill get it running..haha as for the door handle ill check mine when i get home see if i can figure it our I have a spare i can mess up if need be. And that paint sounds pretty dope man post pics of your work id love to see your pro do you have a build thread of your progress.

On the wife thing i feel ya ive been fortunate to be able to get as far as i have with the parts i have bought. I dare not tell her how much ive spent on my build she will freak out. She dosent care for my car to begin with but once its complete shell have a different tune. But the key it to buy parts and have them shipped to your work and hide them before she gets home...haha Ive done it a few times on stuff i knew i shouldnt have bought when i did due to finances but i couldnt pass up the deal.

i have a question for you how the hell did you wrap that plastic piece in your dash that covers your gauges i cant wrap my head around it

Oh you mean this thats not wrapped thats an actual Carbon Fiber piece its made by DG if your interested im actually going to be selling it i need a different one i need one with 2 gauge pods on it for my gauges. So this one has to go unfortunetly its one of my favorite mods on my car but it dosent fit my needs so if your interested LMK

So far i have a port and polished cylinder head, header, intake,exhaust, bigger throttle body. I also have brand new injectors I cant really remember the size tho,a new spec stage 3 clutch and megasquirt II system. What do ya think not bad so far and i have a much longer list of parts that i still need to get thanks to your list Do you have any other parts that i could use? and i think we should private message now i'v got lots of questions for you if you dont mind and ill buy any spare parts you have
