Interesting Brake Information/Track Pad Recomendations?

I would have thought we could use Fiesta brake pads based on the 2, but I received this information from Cobalt.

"On the Fiesta, the spec is for a much thicker pad (same pad shape), at 17.5mm, versus the 14.8mm that Mazda specs for the Mazda2...might be a different caliper body and disc combination, not sure."

What brake pads are peopel using for open track days?

Derrick, I thought there was a FoMoCo stamp on the caliper as well. I am still a bit puzzled. Obviously more pad material would last longer. What do you guys use no your B-Spec?
Zack, I was thinking of using something up from the HP+. Maybe the blues or DTC 30s. I have mostly used Carbotechs in the past on other cars and just looking for other alternatives for the 2.

Some manufacturers list pad thickness including the backing plate, some do not. No idea if this is the case here but a 2.8mm difference is about right for a backing plate.

I can check this at work tomorrow if I remember, home with a sick 2yo today.

I am using the DTC60s for racing. They hold up well to the abuse. I have street driven them as well, they are noise and dusty pads which most people won't like.

Have been using Carbotech XP8s for track days; each set good for about a year with a full orchestra of screech music and nervous pedestrians on the street. Porterfield RS4s are excellent for street & autocross, but so quiet and clean.
Have recently learned that the rear drums have a life expectancy of about 30,000 street miles and 65 track hours before leakage, unannounced disassembly and worn linings. Until then fine on the street and track.

How's the oem rotors holding up the the abuse? My rotors are dead after just street use, I drive the 2 like I stole it but wow 27,340 miles and they are already warped....
