so let me get this straight youre using a roots style supercharger and trying to use a turbo fmic?
you can use a heat exchanger but i dont think you can use actual fmic unless youre running a cintrifical supercharger.

Why won't It work? it's been done with VWs, Probes and Subarus. My setup is no different.

with a cintrifical supercharger it has not a roots. you need a heat exchanger.

Right now I dont have a P/S cooling line at all........ I cut it by mistake when I cut the holes for my Perrin. I am going to bend some 1/2 in tubing and route it down the hole by the windshield washer fluid hole. But for the last 2 months I have ran a bypass tube and I have not had an issue.

so from what i have been reading all I should expect a pressure drop. But thats just like any intercooler.
Are there any other reasons?

id have to se eit in person. lol ive just never seen or installed at my dads performance shot an air to air intercooler due to the sc takinf place of the intake manifold.

Did the P/S delete. doing some cutting on Sunday.

what are you cutting onthe PS cooling lines. I just unhooked it, pulled it out and just ran the line from the Powersteering pump to the reservoir. Very simple no cutting involved. Just follow the lines. Just make sure your in the "input" and "output" are in the right holes.

Took me 5 minutes.

Oh and if your going to remove the rad support/Hood latch vertical bar... keep in mind that you will lose support and strenght on the upper rad support

I'm going to make a new rad support.

I didn't want to loose the hose. lol I had extra stainless 1/2 tube so I decided to use that. works fine.

Seems to me that it may be easier to notch the crash bar so that you can mount the intercooler in a good location. Looking further at your pix it looks as if you are going to have some tight angles on the I/C piping. But then again your going stealth, and I like that.

only thing i dont like about putting it behind the crash bar is that your effectively rendering half of it useless because your blocking off the air flow to it with the crash bar. Hopefully you leave some gap between the crash bar and the ic so some airflow can get up there.

There is going to be more than enough air going through there. lol I have the upper grill and lower grill for air to flow through the intercooler.

Made my cuts, going to get this b**** mouted by the end of the weekend.

Thanks, I shouldnt have problems mounting it, though i may have problems configuring the piping. I should be alright though.

hkpro if you need any help let me know ill be back in the 1st week of december from afgan. im pretty good at comming up with ideas on how to run piping. thinking outside the box never hurts.
