Intake manifold

Can someone point out to me with a picture or description where I can find the intake manifold of ms3 and where i can tap the vacuum tube for my boost gauge please. My boost gauge requires me to tap directly into the intake manifold using an adapter. The instruction says I can find bolts on the intake manifold that I can take out and that's where I should tap the vacuum tube with adapter. Please help me out bras. I need a boost gauge in my ms3. thanks in advance.

follow the tube from the air filter to the engine. If you get to the muffler, you have gone too far.

hahaha. never mind thanks though. I already installed it. I Teed on vacuum hose. Incase anyone of you is wondering where to tap for power source. tap at the dimmer switch orange color wire.

Did you tee off the BPV or towards the back of the motor somewhere?

heres a clue , you see the turbo?...the intake is on the other side of the engine.

I got it installed the guy cut off the tube where the bypass valve is connected and put a tee there. I dont know if that's the right spot cause i've gone through 3 gauges and it's not registering the psi that this forum is claiming. Can anyone of u take a pic of where u tee off your vacuum tube and post it here?? I'd really appreciate it. thanks a lot.

the bpv line will give you an accurate reading of the boost that is actually in the manifold. you will get higher numbers if if tee into a line right off the turbo.

I made a customized gauge pod. as soon as i take a picture i'll post it here.
please let me know it it's in the right place. I'm thinkin maybe the reason i'm not holding boost is because the stock bpv is shattered like what i read in other forums, that it gets ruptured easily so maybe that's why it's not holdin boost. u guys think "Forge" bpv would do justice? thanks

That line is connected to the purge solenoid valve (the round thing to the right of the tee). You get vacuum from the manifold there, as well as fuel vapours from the charcoal canister.

You have put the Tee between the canister purge valve (the thing to the right in the picture) and a check valve (the thing to the left). This will not give good readings. If you move it to the other side of the check valve it should be good.

that line is for sucking fuel from the canister to the intake manifold, that's not the correct place to T off for vacuum. The purge valve closes and opens depending on engine load. You need to find a proper vacuum port.

I could die from gases comin from the manifold then. I have to fix that right away. thanks guys. What do u guys think of my gauge pod? I customized it. I didnt find any single pod for ms3 so I fabricate it from a universal pod. I made it so that the bottom of the pod contours with the dashboard. it's nearly perfect but i can live with it. I like it and it's staying. I sanded down the fake leather pattern. I painted it flat black so it blends with the dash. And I positioned it so it's aiming right at me. I placed it there to make it look like the car grew a pod.

There is no danger to you from any gasses from the manifold. When any minuscule amounts of gas are present, the engine will suck them away. If you move the tee to the other side of the check valve it will work just fine.

thanks peoples. now i have to find a replacement of that tubing that was cut to tee off the vacuum tube. I called dealer and seems like the guy dont know what he's talkin about he says it cost $89 cause he says it also comes with the purge and check valves. Can i just buy similar tubing from an auto store? which store can i get it from? thanks guys.
