intake manifold question

ive heard of it and i have seen a few people using it... the only problems ive heard of with it is you may not be able to use your CAI on it and i think the other problem was a CEL.... i think

I can think of no reason you wouldn't be able to use your CAI. Good chance you'd get a CEL as I see no mention of an EGR tube. You could block off the EGR at your exhaust manifold, but it might still throw a CEL.

well from what ive read you cant use your CAI because it moves the TB further towards the radiator, thus throwing off the positioning for a CAI

I was looking at the stock intake manifold last night and I did notice that throttle body is at an angle. The aftermarket one looks like it comes parallel to the intake port on the block. So I can see that positioning of the throttle body would change the alignment with the CAI. likewise, the CAI looks like it would be moved toward the front of the car. thank you again for the input

my buddy is running this i helped him install it, your cai WONT WORK BUT SRI will work just fine, you have to turn the TB to make it bolt up right here is kinda bad pic of it installed

just be carefull with the lil nipple valve things they are extremly weak, and your going to have to do some ghetto rigging with the lines with some t's as you can see in the pic

that looks good. What is his impression of it so far?? Any noticable gains?

it helped more in the higher rpms, gave it a lil bit of a meaner sound, he said when he drove it he didnt notice much differance but when he rode passanger he felt it a lot more

oh and you have to wire up some little box thing so make sure you cut the right wires haha

the interceptor module is not required for the install. we've sold several of these and everyone has thus far liked them. no check engine lights that we have ascertained. the air intakes can be modified to fit with the manifold.

do you have any proof of hp/tq gains? what kind of intake mods would have to be done because I was planning on buying a CAI before I get the manifold. I just want to know what I'm getting into before I buy the manifold

you would have to cut down the inlet end of the CAI (shorten it). the dyno gains posted on WeaponR's website are all we really have of the manifold on its own, and the experiences similar to what was posted up above - better top end and higher RPM range gains. for 'all motor' mods this is really what you would expect.

all you will have to do is take off the bottom half of the intake and make it short ram that is all you have to do
