Installing Sub and amp

Just got my Mazda 3s and wondering whether or not I should transfer my sound system from my old car into it and how. I have an older Sony Xplod i think its the 610 or 620 with Active Black Panel disp. along with an Alpine type R 10in sub and a cheap 500w profile amp to push it. Basically I was curious if it would just be better to put the amp and sub in without the head unit or should I transfer the whole thing. And does the stock head unit actually have inputs for the amp so I can push a sub without the Sony head unit.

just have to buy a line out converter to make it work off the factory player.. in my opionion i do not like aftermarket radios in the three because you loose the clock and it just doesnt look right
