installing p5 sides

so double sided tape along the bottom and clips on the ends?there are holes in the wheel wells on the back, so do you suggest making holes in the skirts and using the existing holes? thanks

there are clips along the length of the skirt as well. as for making new holes to accommodate them, honestly i am not sure what all is required in that respect

I wound up drilling through the skirt and using the holes in the rear wheel well to mount my skirts in addition to the front ones. To mark the holes I put masking tape over the end of the skirt and then spray painted from the inside out so that it would mark the holes exactly. I also swapped out the clips for nuts and bolts, which I think will be a tad more reliable. However it's a PITA to get the nuts on behind front splash guard.

Right now I just have it bolted on in four places and they seem to hold fine, I check the fit periodicly though. I have a 35 minute commute to school doing about 65-70 and they seem to hold up fine. However, there is a little rattling from the passenger side when I go over bumps. I bought 3M Automotive double sided tape #06397 to hold the sides on, but it's too thick to be applied between the top of the skirt and the panel (it'll stick out) and it's too narrow to connect the bottom of the skirt to the bottom of the car. I think in order to eliminate the rattle I'm going to need to secure the bottom of the skirt to the car, which I'm still working on.

The traditional way as Ken said requires drilling holes along the rocker panel and clips attach from the car to the sideskirt. I didn't want to deal with all that and some of my clips were busted, so that's why I opted for my crazy ass mounting scheme.

I dont remember any double sided tape, but I do remember having to jack up each side of the car and drill about 5 holes on the underside of the car to accomadate the mounting pins. The white pins slide into the side skirt, and after all the holes are drilled just snap into place. be sure to file down the holes when you finish drilling them, as well as either rustproof or paint the now fresh metal surface to prevent complications down the road. Each side takes about an hour if you wanna be careful about things. Don't forget to remove the inner fender scrivets (plastic screw/washer lookin things) on the front side of each, and replace them when finished.

yea what tunersteve said.

With double sided tape you're facing a risk of the side skirts coming off. Just better off do it the normal way. Drill and mount.
