Just asking how much of a pain it is to install a gauge that is boost and air/fuel in one. Im also installing it into the defrost single gauge pod made by blockhead. From what i randomly saw it has to be ran all the way over to the glovebox or else make a seperate 12v switch beside the dsc button.

Well about a dash hawk, i asked for one for xmas and instead of a dash hawk i received a ultragauge, which isnt bad but i really wanted something i could monitor the boost. I have the gauge and pod now and i talked to my dad and he doesnt think its hard so we will tackle the project this weekend. After that i will finally put up some pics of it and anything else ive done to the car

2 gauges in one? Interesting. Coming from someone who doesn't know anything about wiring/electronics, installing my boost gauge was somewhat a breeze. There's a how-to of it somewhere on here. It helped tremendously. Just make sure you get all the necessary things from radio shack. Running the wires to the glovebox was also not a big deal. Just have to take out some dash stuff, especially the middle armrest section. The how to won't tell you to buy extra wiring, you WILL need extra wiring/wire connectors/wire stripper/etc. Good luck

i was surprised to see a two in one as well especially for 60 bucks, its a glowshift. I did look up on here the how to with pictures and everything and that definetly helps a lot. We are going to find our power source on the drivers side and avoid going over to the glovebox and im sure my dad has all the extra stuff we will need, he seems to keep all that stuff all over the place.

2-in-1 for $60 bucks sounds sketch. I'd throw down the $200-225 people are asking for their DashHawks here on the forum and just pick one up. If the Mazda PDI's are downloaded you just have to plug n play otherwise you download em and then plug n play, you have your boost, AFR's, throttle position, even things like fuel economy, etc. all at the tip of your fingers. No install needed :)

Me and a buddy tackled the gauge this weekend and i told him if it doesnt work right then im taking it back out and getting a dash hawk, i even said i should have bought during the install. its not 100% finished yet but when it is il post pics.

In for results. Hopefully getting my pod from blockhead soon (granted the $$). Not really electronically inclined, I prefer working on everything else.

I have no pics of my recent install but it was a pain. Wouldnt have been as hard but me and my buddy took apart some extra things we didnt need to. It looks really good tho, i will post pics soon. I also didnt hook up the air fuel because i couldnt find out exactly where to hook it into and i heard narrowbands are pretty much useless,
