I am preparing to install an Alpine 4 channel amp under the passenger seat of my 2009 CX-7 without Bose system. I do not want to replace the head unit, so I plan to use the high level outputs of the stock head unit as LF/RF/FR/RR inputs to the amp. This amp is equipped to accept speaker level inputs.
I do not want to butcher the factory wiring, so I bought a Scosche aftermarket adapter to plug into the back of the factory head unit to feed the hi-level speaker signals to the amp. I also bought the Scosche "reverse" adapter to run from the amp's speaker outputs into the factory wiring harness. All of the non-speaker wires (constant hot to battery, accessory +12v switched, chassis ground) are wired together directly between the two harnesses.
I thought I was being clever as this method should allow me to supply the speaker signals to the amp and the amplified signals back using the factory wiring harness without cutting factory wires and also retain all of the factory audio control functions.
Then I found a radio harness pin out diagram online and it shows four feeds that are not included on the Scosche adapters:
Pin 12 RD/BK Steering Wheel Control Leads
Pin 13 GN/WT Steering Whell Control Leads
Pin 14 BK/PK Dimmer
Pin 15 L. GN/RD Illumination
Here is the pinout diagram I am referring to:

It occurs to me that this may be because the Scosche adapters are for aftermarket head units so these features are omitted as only the factory head unit can provide these functions. If so, I have a problem to overcome.
Anyway, I sure would like to have a complete wiring diagram of the harness coming out of the factory head unit to see what the real deal is.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks.
