Can you just swap in an MP3 ECU? What are the HP gains?
you can, or you can get it reflashed, but you'll need to find someone with an MP3. As far as HP, i think it's good for 3-5 whp as it advances the timing and leans it out (i think). Once you have it, you'll have to run higher octane fuel because of the advanced timing.

no it doesnt lean it out, it just as advance timiing. my car's ratio with the mp3 ecu at wot is 10.0:1!

i have a wideband. i was planning to tune later on in the future. but its also nice to know waht your car is doing all the time. it changes when you put s*** on the car. its really nice, even if you dont wanna tune, cause its really accurate and its sick to look at

yeah, i get to see how rich it runs under boost...always pinned at 10

Just please be careful..I had a AEM cold intake in one of my old cars and even with the bypass sponge thing they make water still got sucked into the engine..

I had an AEM CAI on my Honda and hit a big puddle and hydro-locked the motor. I was sipping water out of the cylinders, not fun. Thankfully, I hit the puddle at low speed and imediately shut off the engine then towed it to my friends house to work on. The motor fired right up after I got all the water out of the intake manifold.

But my point; buy some kind of baypass valve, it's worth the money. Believe me. ;-)
