Thats definitely a clean install, i like it. There is nothing worse than parts like that, which stick out like a sore thumb.

...i guess its not perfect, but certainly better than those headunits that don't even attempt to match the interior

yeah we were wondering bout that but i'm thinking of doing it over in silver to match the exterior of the car and other interior parts as well

Beautiful install! I was considering this unit but did not like the Dash kit. Can you tell us how much the dash kit was?

yeah it was from mobilecaraudio the model # is METRA 95-7504 it was $ 30 + shipping which brought it to $ 42 i think and i painted it but its going to be silver now

yeah that's it exactly not too bad tho i'm getting small zoom-zoom stickers mad for that side of the display to go on top of iof the screen

Install looks great!

I just installed a Pioneer Avic-D3 in my 2006 3i using the Metra 95-7504 kit. However, I have small gap along the the bottom edge where the Metra kit meets the stock dash. Was this one of the problems you had and, if so, how did you fix it?

so all the climate controls are still on the display? i assume you lost the trip stuff and audio display only? i was worried about this when i was going to upgrade my stereo...

looking sweet. i just wish they made double dins that are removable..
