Installed an aftermarket stereo, but illumination always on

Just installed a sony dsx-s300btx, but the illumination on the stereo is always on (after the car is turned on (acc position). Is that normal?

If the car is turned to Acc then the stereo should still be on. If the car is off and it's still on you wired something wrong.

I mean the light on the stereo, I thought that the illumination is on after the headlight is turned on just like the light on the dashboard. Now it is on after it is on acc, but off if the car is off.
but if i switched off the radio, the light is off as well, so I don't know if it's normal.

Yes it is normal. The aftermarket stereo will not be controlled by the same light switch as the illumination. Instead the stereos illumination will be on as long as the stereo is powered on. So Acc will light up as well.

thanks, I have this impression because the illumination on the factory stereo lights up when the headlight is turned on, so I thought that it is a standard for all car stereo

Yeah luckily it doesn't work that way for aftermarket stereos. Otherwise my lights would be on all the time.
