I'm trying to get the stock aribox out and the recirc house that is connected to the stock intake hose won't budge.... Any suggestions?

A picture and description together is sometimes the most helpful. Although mine is the 2nd gen Mazdaspeed CAI, getting the old stuff out is pretty much going to be the same for any CAI. I found AEM's instructions to be the best. Hopefully this will help.

I finally got it out. Took two of us working at it. I had the Cobb instructions and it was easy install after that.

Is it really supposed to make that woooooooooosh sound building up before the blow off?

No, that woooooosh sound is definitely not normal, it could possibly be your intake manifold or an exhaust leak by the intercooler coldpipe. I highly suggest you change your oil to 20w60 and replaced your rear left tire, as soon as possibly.

If all you have to contribute to this forum is sarcasm, please find another one to post your childish comments to - might I suggest a Civic forum.

woosh sound is normal...that is a mixture of the air being sucked into the intake and the turbo spooling.

Its just insane! I thought I didn't get the hose clamps on tight enough but after checking them I had to ask.

Same thing I thought when I installed my Injen CAI...at first I thought Id suck the whole world into my engine (braindead

Enjoy newfound turbo spool, soon you will feel the pain of turbo lag haha (shocked)

yea man, i know what your talking about. that thing was a b**** to get out. i had to yank on it with my plyers and ended tearing off some of the rubber from the stock intake hose. it was almost like they had glued the ****** on there or something.
