inside vent stuck on

I found this site when I had a problem with my air conditioning turning on after I shut my 2008 CX 9 off. I replaced the relays and never had another problem with that. Now my problem is that when I turn all my controls off, I still have the car icon with the arrow going thru it, still showing. I can also change the mode. For example, defrost, dashboard, footwell. How do I shut the vent off. I still feel air coming out of the vents. This can't be what the enginers designed.

I recall having this same issue with my Mazdaspeed 6 (pretty much the same layout as the CX9 for hvac). I believe I had to set the icon to recirculate, and then have the temp setting at something higher than the lowest point. Hope that makes sense. I haven't noticed this issue in the CX9 as of yet.

Thanks for the reply but, it doesn't matter wheather it is on recirculate or fresh air intake,or what temp it is set at, it still won't go off. Could it be another relay? Or could it be the off switch? It's not the worst problem to have but,I would like to fix it. Any other thoughts would be great. Thanks.
