Inoperative power windows

I am new to this forum, and I am looking forward to reading more about the Mazda Miata. I own a 1992 Miata, Black and tan, with 89K on it. I found it on Ebay, and bought it from a dealer about 65 miles from my home in Winter Haven, Florida. Other than some oil leaks, I have not had any technical problems until now. This week, I drove to work with my power windows down, and upon arriving at work I closed them. At quitting time, I went out to the car to lower the windows and allow the car to cool down inside. Neither window will operate. I suspect that it is something simple, but before I get involved in an extensive check out, I would like to ask if anyone else has encountered this problem. I am a former line mechanic of some 35 years, and I do have tools to work with. I do not, at this time, have a manual or wiring diagram. Any suggestions? Buffybeast

if both died at once I'd check the fuses first

One dead = wire or motor

Two dead = fuse
