A. I was speeding
B. He could have judged my speed.
C. He is not the judge and under the situation, he had no real proof.
D. He didn't even take my license. He sent me on my way with a warning.

That has been the only time I have ever been pulled over and didn't have my licence and registration etc. taken. I don't know if that is policy or not, but I was odd, especialy considering the cop (pig) in question had a reputation in town for hardass teens.

Get his bag number at put in a complante on him.
He will get writen up and e on his permint record, then if he starts again he can be charged with harrasment.

If the complaint is founded, then he might be reprimanded verbally, no written anything in his record book.

You guys need to calm down a little, things don't work the way you think in matters like this.

Then why are you so mad for being pulled over?

B. He could have judged my speed.

Yes could have judged your speed, and he doesn't have to show you any of his proof until court, or if he issues you a ticket and you ask how he figured your speed...The judge has the ultimate say if you take it to court.

D. He didn't even take my license. He sent me on my way with a warning.

Then why are you so pissed off. If he were a real ass, he would have taken everything (license registration, insurance) and made you sit there for a half hour then give you a solid verbal tongue lashing and let you go with a warning.

If you didn't get a ticket, be glad and get over it...

An officer has discretion in everything they do, particularly in a traffic stop. They don't have to ask for the license or anything. Or they could get you out of the car and search it, plus run your name checking for warrants and do all kinds of crazy stuff that'll really piss you off.

If you didn't get a ticket, be happy...I can understand that you are angry for getting pulled over, but hey, you were speeding and you got caught. Like I say, be glad you didn't get a ticket.

ZG....in NEARLY any state...if you challange the ticket and go to court....and if the officer that gave you the ticket does NOT show up to testify....there are no witnesses for the procecution, thus NO PROOF....and the ticket is thrown out.....simple as that. Tom got a break..... :{D way to go Tom!!!

I don't know how Texas works but in NJ the cops gets 2 or 3 ( i don't remember which) times to show up. The cop gets at least one time to not be there just as any person that has been written a ticket gets on time to be absent. That has happened to me. went to court to find out that the cop was sick and i had to come back in 3 weeks. but then again i have missed MANY MANY MANY court date . Also in NJ cops do not use Laser and very rarely use pacing from a car or helicoptor. nor do they clock your speed using the you lines. my part of NJ has to many cars on the road to use any of those. If you get caught speeding it's b/c of radar and they don't stop you unless your doing at least 15+ on a high way and 8+ on a normal road. and radar is VERY hard to overturn in NJ!

NOPE...one shot....UNLESS its prearranged....then he didn't MISS the court date....not if the court knew ahead of time he wasn't going to be there....but if they just don't show....no pre-notification that they are going to be absent....its out...your done.

and you are sooooooooooooooooooo right stutters....

just be happy you didn't get a ticket...regardless of how much BS you put up with.....if you were in the wrong....do not b****.

I would have driven off happy as a clam if I were EVER to get a warning......its happened only ONCE in my 30 years of being behind the wheel......only ONCE!

My point is, this was a cop that made it very appearent that he disliked teens and would try everything he could do to ride there asses. Weather you are honking at someone in traffic, speeding, or driving perfectly normaly, to be harrassed because of you age, the way you look, what you car sounds like, or what you car looks like it bulls***. If I get pulled over, then it better be for a legitamit reason. He didn't pull me over because I was speeding, he pulled me over because I was a teen.

And yea, I am happy I didn't get a ticket, but I was offended for the mannor in which I was treated. If he expects to be treated in a professional manner, then they can treat us the same way. It that simple.

well I remeber when i got bagged doing 85 in a 35 ..there were two bike cops that chased me and I had no idea they were even there for a bit and so when I pulle dover then approached and I told them I was running late to go home for lunch on my work luch break(which I was) and he gave me abotu a 5 min lecture and commented on my car saying it is really nice and fast too and to just be more careful lol ... but it was right after sept 11th and i had a huge american flag covering the back hatch cover (you know that carpeted carboard thingy that goes from the back of the back seat to the back hatch when its closed and its hung frm the two strings) and right in the center of the back window I had a Piss on Bin-Laden sticker so i think that helped

I don't know about every state but I'm pretty sure there was no probable cause to look under the hood.
Stutters is right though, for once.....jk. Most cops if they are being an a$$ they will ask for everything under the sun. I had one poke his head in my car (very illeagal in Iowa) and see if my kids belts were tight enough cause he noticed they were moving around and looking when he pulled me over. WELL DUHHHH.... flashing lights and a cop car pulling daddy over, of course they are gonna be all moving around to see whats going on. He asked for my drivers liscence, proof of insurance, proof I bought the car ( i just bought it, still had tag in window), and told me the kids need to be belted in better. Next time I'll duct tape them to their seats and use super glue. He pulled me over cause I didn't turn my washer lights off fast enough when I pulled out of a car show I was in and waited till he was off the cell phone to pull me over. H let me go and showed my kids why cops are a pain in the a$$. Luckily a friend of mine is a cop so they know the good side too.
