It is probably rubbing the master cylinder. Check that out. I have an ebay sri, it rubbed a little at idle, like a metal to metal contact sound.

I used the brackets to move it away. I saw an Injen last weekend with a little rubbing on the rubber boot too.

Check that out, look for stuff it may come in contact with, and any tell-tale scratches or wear.

one of my heatshield's bolts vibrated loose and caused a rattle sometimes. it could also be your coolant bottle's mounting hardware if you didn't do a good job relocating that.

the metal intake tube between the MAFS and actual air filter could also be rubbing against the frame which seperates wheel well from engine bay.

it also could be the relocated thing-a-ma-bobber hitting the strut bar. i have no idea what it's called. but it used to be mounted right by the intake manifold, and it gets relocated to the top of the manifold. jesus, can i be more vague...

The intakes cone may be rattling against the little area it sits in down underneath.Sorry i have no actuall terms for that little area.

thanks eveyrone I think its the heatshield but it could be the hole where the piping goes down to the wheel fender. Any ideas anyone no how I could reduce this problem? This never used to happen before.

Check your vibramount as well. After being on my car a couple years, mine was so worn down that the pipe was rubbing the top inside of the fender well (caused a lot of nasty looking damage to the intake, too).

i cut a piece of small rubber tubing down the middle and ran it around the opening, get the size you want and then add some glue to hold it im place. good luck
