Injen CAI problem

I recently installed my CAI. I have had some suggestions that the clicking noise I am hearing is normal...but I dont think so. Every time the car idles i hear this loud ass clicking noise and I do not think this is normal. Any suggestions would help....i did hook up everything correctly but other pointers would be helpful .....it only makes the noise when the car idles

That is most likely the valves. It is muffled by the stock airbox. Just make sure it is not the CAI coming into contact with any piping. If you cant find contact, it is just the valves.
4-cyls sound like that bare.

Thanks for the info....but when i was driving today i noticed that the car makes the clicking noise as it idles...then as it goes into the higher rpms and then as I shift in other gears...i do not want to mess up my brand new car so if someone knows whats wrong with it I would appreciate it...otherwise I will sell my new intake..there is a car show tomorrow here in town...if no one can tell me what is wrong then....i will sell my intake..illl keep u folks updated

Mine was hitting the hole too when I first installed it. It sounded like a rattle at idle. I just loosened up the intake at the throttle body and repositioned it so the pipe wouldn't hit the sides of the hole.
But I like the idea of placing some tubing around the hole for use as a bumper.

LOL, Damn !!.. and here I thought I was the only one innovative enough to try that ...

seriously though, the rattling is usually the Piping banging against the hole , just shove your leftover OEM hose in between the piping and the hole( fits in Perfectly snug) and you'll be just fine, no need to panic .... ( Unless you drive into a Lake )

Yep, I had the noise. It would click when I accelerated quickly . I assumed it was the pipe hitting the edge of the hole. I repositioned it and it went away.

Ok...I do not know much about cars but I think I figured out what the problem was...when u first install the CAI there is this thing (gold with 2 tubs on it) with a screw that is holding on to the original intake. It is screwed right above the original intake..not sure what it is...well I repositioned it because there was no where to place it on the Injen intake...so when I repositioned it close to the firewall that was the object that was clicking off the wall....I hope you guys know what I am talking about!

The Purge solenoid, ya that is fine just make sure it stays vertical in placement like before.

Myself and a few others have attached it to the crank valve hose.

Others have attached it to the strut bar, though it doesn't fit perfectly.
Some CAI don't have the return line for the crank case, so might have to find another place.
