look at my thread on AEM CAI infoxenon929 said:Yeah, I'm dying to get one. 11 HP gain for $200 and change. plus easy install. Not a bad gig I think.
i think with intake and a better exhaust that 11-12whp is possibleMarkSpecV/M3S said:Your right, 11hp gain is huge, I just gained 12hp at the wheels doing a header that eliminated a pre-cat ( SE-R).....I can't see Mazda making the stock airbox that restrictive , who knows..time will tell ~
the stock airbox on a 3 is very VERY restrictive. I just took all of mine out and WOW! huge restriction! i can deffinately see 11hp being possible. plus i think AEM always guarantees 14hp from their intakes or you get your money back. Not too sure of that.. and especially with the 3.. but i have heard that numerous times.MarkSpecV/M3S said:Your right, 11hp gain is huge, I just gained 12hp at the wheels doing a header that eliminated a pre-cat ( SE-R).....I can't see Mazda making the stock airbox that restrictive , who knows..time will tell ~
you know how much retail ?xenon929 said:p.s. the part # for the Injen CAI is: RD6061
Nope, the guy said they'd be in the mid 2's. I wouldn't think they'd be much difference in price with the AEM's.vividmaz3 said:you know how much retail ?
so cost is going to be around $100 then?jebus said:they make so much money off of intakes it ******* crazy
they cost 50-100 to make and sell them for 200+
