I have the injen CAI for my 02 protege ES sedan and last night i after 2am i was raing pretty hard and i drove thru several puddles went on the high way as well and several other roads. I was worried my intake was gonna suck up some water,
but when i fianlly got home and pulled into the garage, poped the hood and looked down I didn't see any water and i crawled under and there was hardly any essence of water & the filter was fine but underneath the filter where there's that plastic plate thingie it was damp but no puddles on the surface or anything.
So anyway i was just wondering if the Injen by-pass value is really worth getting, (b/c it's like $40 some and thats kinda high)I know My filter will never be completely sub-merged under water so no worries there, and also i have heard the by-pass value is bad b/c we don't gain ant horses with it on our intake, is this true?
