Information for AEM F/IC

Does the AEM have datalogging capabilites with 02 signal... also 02 closed loop control would make fine tuning soo much easier after a base tune using the corrections.

Nope, the crimp connectors I used (as a temporary hook up) took a s*** on me and so I have to go back and solder the wires. Also replaced the battery as mine was on it's way out and all this cranking but not starting the engine killed it. I'm fed up with this thing and once I get the wiring all sorted out I'm putting it on a dyno to get tuned so I can be done with it.

I sold the FIC just a week or so ago. I'm currently running on the stock tune and hope to get a Haltech in the near future with an extension harness so I don't have to solder wires under the dash anymore.

So in your opinion, did u prefer the ssafc or aem fic? Just asking cuz I know that the aem fic is a little cheaper in price but It offers more features, etc.

Well the SSAFC is a better choice for those looking to get a simple tune. The FIC is a pretty good deal for the money, but doesn't respond very well with our ECU and it takes some fiddling to get it working right.

The FIC is infinitely better than the SSAFC as you can actually see what is going on with your car, most importantly, injector duty cycle. Anyone who thinks our cars have "fuel cut" would benefit from an FIC. I learned thousands of dollars worth of information from the few months I owned the FIC. Yes, I sold it, but that's because there is no possible way to make our cars run to the perfection I require with a piggyback. No piggypack can predict when a PCM will switch from open to closed loop, and I've posted more than a few times what those situations are.

I've decided to work the MSP a little longer, and I might be able to create a "piggyback" that actually works, and works better than any factory system because OEM's are crazy cheap and aftermarket tuners are crazy stupid.

I'll definitely keep the faithful informed if I come up with anything useful.
