Info for a 2007 Touring

I did a search through the forums. You can believe the results I get when I type in "bluetooth", so my apologies if this has been answered before. I just haven't been able to find it.

I have a 2007 Touring that did not come installed with the bluetooth module. It looks like it has the speakers and mic's installed for it though. My question is, can I take this back to the dealer and have them install the appropriate bluetooth equipment to give me that functionality or am I stuck with installing aftermarket stuff?

If anyone could help or if they know a thread that answers this, it would be appreciated.

What makes you think it was not intalled? I thought all Touring and GT modesl came with Bluetooth? You may just have a faulty unit. Anyone else know for sure?

For 2008 (I am betting it's the same for 2007) CX9s,
the BT was standard on Touring and GT.
I just checked a brochure, so I am 100% sure about 2008.

Does it have the little phone button on the steering wheel? My '07 Touring does, and it definitely has BT.

I had a 2007 Touring and it came with bluetooth standard. It is more difficult and takes time to program it but it is on there. Read the directions to activate very closely. Its very finicky. The 2010 is very easy, almost idiot proof. Took all of 2 minutes to program both my wife's and my cell phone on it.

The best I can tell, it does not have blue tooth. There'd is no bt button on the steering wheel. Nothing is on the car that should be there per the manual. It seems everything odds in place for it except for maybe the blue tooth module itself. That's why I was wondering if it can be installed after market.

I think the easiest way to do that would probably be to get an aftermarket headunit with BT built in. I'm not even sure you can retrofit the BT module in, especially with the steering wheel button.

Just looked at a 2007 brochure. Bluetooth was standard across the line. What country are you in?
