Indicator in the Tachometer Area

I have a Indicator, which looks like a "Tachometer" that appears in the upper most right hand corner (just above 8,000 rpms).

It is always on. I have looked thru the manual but have not found.

Anyone have an idea what it is?

GOBLUE - FINALLY!!!

Hmm, I looked at the Owners manual too, I see nothing about this, maybe you should call your Mazda Service department and see what it is.

Got it! It's just an Indicator that the gauge is a Tach, Since its white faced on my Sport, I'm guessing you have a GT.

um, funny stuff - its just an indicator to show you where the gauge dimmer knob is (its right above the subject "indicator")

Yep...I thought it was an indicator like the "others" that show up when needed, however I just looked again and it is part of the display (like gas, temp indicators).

(uhm)

dude I totally thought it was something else when I first got the car as well... then I realized that it was just that. Also as an FYI if you press it, it allows you to change the dash lighting from daytime to night time. This is good for when it's dusk and you need your lights on, but it's still too light for the night setting...
