Incredible Tire Noise

I have a 2003 protege ES with the dunlop performance tires that came with the car. My tires make an incredibly loud high pitched sound at all times. It gets so bad, I get headaches. I have had it checked out by three different places, and they all said that everything was normal and its the tires. Not that my tires are defective but the design of the tires produces loud sounds.

Does anyone have similar experiences? The only thing I can think of is that I got new rear speakers installed a while back and maybe they took out some insulation? I would tend to think they would have spotted that though.

Thanks

they sucked for traction but i dont remember them being all that loud. The only reason they'd be that much louder is cause they're going bald or wearing funny. If you think its the speakers heres a simple test: Turn on the stereo with the car parked....if it only makes sounds when you're moving its not the speakers.

Wait, there are still stock Dunflops out there? I would have thought they would have either worn to nothing or hydroplaned the car into a tree by now.

Bumps in the road were loud, but the noise otherwise was covered up by the mighty roar of the engine.

The sound is only when I am driving and not while it is parked.

The tires I have are the same as the original, I got new ones but I just got the same ones that came with the car, so its not like I am driving on them after 50k miles. Last week I got a flat so I put two all seasons on the front but still have the dunlops in the rear.

I was driving a few people yesterday and they had to take turns sitting in the back because of the sound.

Ya the stock dunlops are noisy and they are s***.

My dad got some "omg high performance u wont b dissappointed" tired on his new Mazda6 also. He got rid of them and his car is so quiet now.

Huh? Were the rears on the whole time (quiet) and are now loud? Or are the new /different brand front tires so much quieter?

Did they rotate front to rear when they installed? PUzzled. Please try again to 'splain the situation.

Thanks!
