Increased wind noise coming from windshield.

First of all, excuse me if this isn't in the right section. I don't really know where to put windshield related topics.

Anyways, we just got through a minor snow/ice storm here. About 4-6" of snow and about .5-1" of ice. Yesterday I had let my car run for a bit before I even attempted to clear off the wintery mix. Well, after I had my car clear off and drove around, I noticed an increase in wind noise coming from the passenger side of the windshield. It's similar to the sound one would hear if your windows were open a crack. I checked all the windows and they were sealed up fine. So I guess my question is, did the weight of this ice/snow combined with me clearing it off somehow cause the seal to weaken on my windshield? Has anyone else had this problem? My car is due in for service soon, so I'll get them to check it out.

i dont think the seal weakend exactly. i think it just may have shrunk a tad? things to tend expand and contract when it gets cold/warm. I havent really noticed anything like that on my car, but then again i havent really looked for it either.

Well, the car has seen a lot colder temperatures (sub zero) and I've never heard this noise. But then again, I usually have the defrost going full blast, which cancels the noise out. And that mixed with my radio, perhaps I just never heard it before? Regardless, it's rather annoying.

Not that anyone cares, but the problem seems to have remedied itself.

Given the ms3 windshield is known to have a few issues (the brackets that cause the nasty creaks, for one), I'd take it in to your dealer and have them take a look at it, check all the seals and make sure everything is ok.
