Included tool with CX-70 missing?

Anyone ever noticed if your included tools have the tie down eyelet or eyenut?

It’s supposed to be in tool holder with the lug wrench and jack lever or handle.

This eyenut becomes important if your vehicle is disabled and needs to be towed up a flatbed tow truck.

Mine was missing as well and the one supplied wouldn't even screw in. Dealer fixed the issue right on the spot when I went there with the car. Pitiful, really!

This topic came up recently. They removed it because you aren't supposed to use it to pull or tow the car. It's for initial shipping. Don't shoot the messenger.

This topic came up recently. They removed it because you aren't supposed to use it to tow the car. It's for initial shipping. Don't shoot the messenger.

This is 100% correct. The tool was still included with my CX-5 2014 FWD but not with my CX-9 2022 AWD. The manual is very specific about the ways you can tow AWD car and it does not include the eyelet. In the manual also states that the tool is included only in some markets (Canada and USA is not the ones). I am not questioning what some users might want to do with it. I am reporting only based on the findings what Mazda does not want you to do with it
