i refuse to live with the crunching from the front struts. Mazda ****** up and they should fix it. A new car should not sound like it is ten years old. Look at other factory cars that handle well, do the crunch and sound like a piece of s***, no. Mazda did a half assed job on the car and it is becoming evident now and they should fix it.

My Focus SVT also uses Tokicos and no squeaks or crunches.
Was the squeak in the rear suspension temperature related for you, or all the time. If its a cold weather thing, I can deal. If its all the time, its not acceptable.

The stock sway bar does have rubber bushings in the rear. Only the front is urethane. The crunching noise up front doesnt' bother me because its a cold weather issue. The rear squeak doesn't go away when the car warms up.
If I had to guess, the rear sway bushings are going bad again. If they fail again, I'm going to press them to replace the sway bar along with the bushings.

I will continue to monitor the new "E" bushings I have in stalled in the rear. On a side note, my new front bushings are in and I will have them installed on thursday. I will keep you all posted as to what the outcome is. 
On a side note and IMHO, I think for all the strong complaining about the quality of these cars, these issues are extremely minor and exercising patience by some would be a good idea. There is a big difference between annoyance noises on a car when compared to blown engines and trannies that REALLY are from quality issues and not from owner abuse or uneducated modding.

I agree that its minor, but annoying and reflective of a lack of much testing of the MP3/MSP suspension that Mazda cooked up.
Mine seems free of major issues (knock on wood) and I'm glad about that.
Still, I can't spend the next 3 or 4 years driving around in a car that squeaks like this all the time. Its a little embarassing. Gotta find a fix.

True, I agree to a point. But not many other manufacturers have attempted to use this many aftermarket parts on a vehicle for showroom release. Mazda to a certain extent has to rely on their suppliers as to the testing/usage of certain parts. I agree that they should have done a couple of cold-weather, long distance driving tests that would have caught these bushing issues. As long as there is a long term solution I will wait for them to get these things right. I, like you, am crossing my fingers that these are the only things we run into.
P.S. For as long as the rear bushing swap takes. Literally 3-5 minutes, I would glady have Mazda pay for a new set every oil change. (boobs) (drinks)

Damm I thought the jack was loose in the back. And that squeeking sound in the front it is only when it is cold also. I am going to take it to the dealer when I get a chance thanks

I lubed the rear bushings and the squeaking has stopped. I'm going to take a shot at the front crunching noise when I have more time. I sure hope the clunk doesnt rear its ugly head again.

iVE HAD THE E SERIES SINCE THE 9TH OF DEC. Took to dealer tHEY SAID MY LINKS CONTOLLERS WERE BAD AND THAT THE MAZDA 6 WAS HAVING THE SAME PROMBLEM tHEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE REPlacing the coolant tank because i was still losing coolant from the last time it was in Anyone else dealet told them this Also my service guy was the best When i came to get it because they have to order the parts He asked if he coukld look under the hood at my mods He said it all looked good and what else was i planning on doing I want go in to too much detail but he was cool with all the things i told him i may do There was a bunch of the guys looking at my mods Coolest dealership ive ever had Sorry so long and i cant type worth s****

The TSB # for the E's is 02-003/03.
As stated my E's have failed..er, are failing. It is clunking but not as bad as it was with the D's. It might be because of the original bar on the MSP but thanks to Mazda not mentioning in the TSB that the bar may need to be replaced, it's going to be a fight with my dealer to get a new bar on such a new car. The bar only had 8k miles on when the E's were put on.
No matter how you slice it, the E's are better than the D's so anybody who doesn't have the E's should get them. Ask for a new bar too...even though they'll probably shoot you down thanks to Mazda.

Thats a day late a dollor short. I just picked my msp up from the dealer to also have the clunk gotten rid of. They replaced the bushings with the "E's". As I was driving it of the lot I went over a small bump and there went the clunk. I was so friggin mad that I just kept driving. It's been there since last Thursday to get the front and the rear replaced. They told me that the front bushings were out of stock and they couldn't even get an eta. I don't know if its true or not but it sucks anyway.
Alright people... this is my opinion on the clunk. Its the poly bushings. The polyurethane transfers the vibration of the rear susp into the frame. just like poly motor mounts transfer vib. into car. I have investigated this and it seems that many makes have "clunking" issues when using large diameter bars and poly bushings. BMW, Honda/Acura, etc.. owners have had the exact same problems as msp and protege aftermarket sway bar users. I believe that, especially during bad weather,temp extremes, poor pavement, the poly will always have a clunk/ sqeak. Unless u grease it weekly and replace the bushings regularly(cause they do wear) it will never go away. The only choice is to replace it with either the prototype mounts or rubber bushings. the rubber will withstand alot more but may have a slight perf. impact. I am gonna try the rubber... if that doesnt work i will use the new mounts with Energy susp bushings. These might also be a good idea as opposed to mazda's constant bushing revisions.
